Spring 2008
Dear Friends,
It hardly seems as though it can be time once again to start the summer. In about six weeks I will be going down to the office at God’s Helping Hands to start getting ready for thirteen weeks of programs. I already have the scripts for our programs and have started working on some new voices. After reading through the scripts with my team members a few weeks ago, I realized it is going to be another challenging year.
The theme for the summer is Monsters in Your Life. Every day there is a new monster: Jack Jealousy, Finnian Fear, Willy Worry, Andy Anger, and Prunella Pride. I’m sure I will learn something new, in the form of how to control these areas of my life from the scripts as I have learned things from the last two years as well. Even though it would seem that our programs are geared toward the younger generation, even adults learn from them!
The support-raising stage is slow-moving right now. I am working on contacting area churches to schedule in the fall. I have made up some packets and am waiting to hear what they have to say. I have raised 12% of my support needs.
I had been praying that God would provide some side jobs and He has answered that prayer request! I was asked to go to Australia and stay with my brother’s family while he went on a business trip. I was only planning on a four-week trip in February but it turned out to be a six-week trip as my sister-in-law broke her foot. I am so glad that it worked out for me to go and be there to help. Four weeks of my trip ended up being a lot of work but they generously offered to pay me for my work. Now that I am home, I am doing a two-and-a-half week house-sitting job. I never stop being excited to see how God will answer my prayers and take care of me.
I will close now with a request that you lift my team and me up in prayer as we travel this summer. Pray also for all those we will be reaching this summer that the seeds we sow will grow. Please check out our website: www.ghhinc.org for the schedule of the summer.
In Him,
